KOVE DAKAR 2025: STAGE 2

Stage 2, the 48-hour chrono stage, was definitely a huge test for the riders and the bikes. All four team riders, Neels, Klein, Sunnier, and Liansong, made it back to the bivouac in Bisha with Neels leading the charge.

An incorrectly-installed clutch in Mason Klein’s bike snowballed into a broken engine at the end of the stage, but the Dakar spirit prevailed, and he was towed in by some fellow competitors. Both he and the bike will be ready for the start of Stage 3.

Canadian rider Jordan Reed also returned to say it was the most, dusty grueling ride he had ever done.

Uk rider James Hiller had to sit out due to a crash in Stage 1, but has since received medial clearance to continue tomorrow.

Riders will start Stage 3 around 6am, and the bivouac will make its journey north to colder temperatures and hopefully less dust in Al Henakiyah.
